Funding and Spending
Because the Padre Foundation is a non-profit 501(3)(c), they receive funding from donors. Their partners include Tandem Diabetes Care, Medtronic and Macy’s among 16 others. They also have numerous sponsors including Disneyland, Beta Bionics and Buchanan Children’s Charities. In addition to their many sponsors and partners, the Padre Foundation also works with Hoag Hospital and CHOC to provide their classes and reach patients directly.
In terms of spending, the Padre Foundation’s funds go directly to those they serve through their many classes, camps and social events. They also provide financial assistance to low income families with type-1 diabetic children and college scholarships for teens with type-1.
